This project will reach 95 5th and 6th grade students. This project will allow them to learn visually in science. Most of the students come from a low socioeconomic household. Therefore, sometimes the parents are not able to purchase basic school supplies for them. The students will not need to worry if they have the supplies that they need in order to be successful in class. For example, in science, color coding or drawing visual examples is very important to young learners. These students will learn about the water cycle and photosynthesis. In order to make a better connection to their learning, the students will use the colored pencils, paper, and pencils to draw the process and label it. When the students see color on their paper, it allows them to differentiate between the different labels in order to help them. In addition, the paper will ensure that every student has a copy of the assignment or reading. Rather than reusing them for each class.
