Your donation will allow me to build a reading library that will support the special populations of students I serve. Seventy percent of students on my campus are in the ESL program, and nearly 50% of students are enrolled in Reading Intervention classes. I enjoy teaching reading intervention because it allows me to provide students another chance to become a strong reader. I want all of my students to read 500,000 words this school year. In order to achieve this goal, I must show show students there are books on all levels, and they're just right book is out there! I want every student in my class to have access to a book on their reading level. I believe a students' past educational experience should not limit their future. Every day, my students and I work tirelessly to strength their fluency skills. Students want to read, but are in need of literature that is accessible to their learning abilities. Having special populations library would transform the educational experience for my students.
