My ELL students will be learning the English language through writing and science. To help them be the best writers and scientists they can be, my students need materials and classroom resources that foster a fun and challenging learning environment. The supplies we are requesting will be used daily. For example, students will use whiteboards and clipboards daily during lessons to copy new words, write sentences, and share responses. These students come from poverty and adverse experiences and often have no school supplies themselves. The supplies we are requesting will not only help my students learn but it will help build our school community and learning environment in years to come.
