These books will be added to my classroom library and will be used during lessons. My group of second graders love to read and I want to continue to encourage them to learn through books. With these books they will have a variety of books to choose from. I chose books that will teach my students about compassion, friendship, social skills, and different cultures. I also added some fun books because I want them to know that reading is fun! My class has been working on reading independently and my students have a great interest despite the small selection of books that we have. I know that with a larger selection of books their love of reading will grow and they will become stronger readers.
