When funded, my students will get a much needed upgrade to their learning environment. Fitting 28 first graders in one room can be a challenge and at times feels like they are on top of one another. Privacy shields will allow scholars to give themselves the opportunity to block out distractions around them in order to help them succeed. Students will benefit academically from this product, but also find it fun to have their own space a little more clearly defined within the classroom. Having seen this product in action in many other classrooms, I know scholars will see immediate results. Adding some manipulatives in the classroom is also needed. Learning to read and making words is vital in the 1st grade. These stamps and dough will inspire the scholars to create words in new ways that go beyond simple paper and pencil.
