In our classroom, we have a class set of iPads. Each student has the opportunity to enhance learning by practicing and applying what they've learned through literature, educational games, and apps. With 20 iPads reading, playing music, and creating engaging sound effects, the noise level can become uncomfortable for some of my learners. My classroom has many diverse needs and by providing students with their own headphones, they can focus on learning concepts that are just right for them. Many of these activities include learning centers, research projects, and student choice with engaging literature. Students need the opportunity to access the technology without disrupting the learning of others. With your help, I hope to avoid asking families to purchase headphones for their child. Funding for this project won't only help this year's students, but will benefit students for years to come.
