We start every morning with a Brain Smart Start! During this time the students are involved in an activity to unite, disengage the stress, an activity to connect and finally an activity to commit. The easel will play an essential part in our Brain Smart Start! It will display our daily commitments to learning as well as provide a space where we can Wish Well those students that are absent. Following our Brain Smart Start, we will transition to reading, writing, listening and speaking activities using the Big Book Storytelling Kits. Classic big books, cute storytelling props and engaging activities will provide my students everything they will need for lively literature based learning!
