The materials we are asking for, are basic tools to most, however, for my students, they are just the beginning towards a science, technology, engineering, and mathematical learning future. The use of hand tools is becoming a lost skill in today's youth. Most have never used the basic tools that most of their parents grew up within their garages and shops. With these basic tools and cart that I'm asking for will help 30 of my students create a robot that will be programmed to compete in a competition while performing prescribed tasks. The competition donates a predetermined amount of raw materials to each team, and from this raw material, the students use the tools they have and creates a functioning robot. A cart is required to move the robot, along with any tools to make last-minute adjustments and repairs.
