Many of the students in my classroom are boys who have a lot of energy and a hard time sitting still for long periods of time. Along with creating a lesson plan that offers many hands on opportunities to learn and movement breaks, I want to give them other materials that they can utilize when needed as well to help them to learn what can work for their own needs to help them control their bodies and focus more. With the the different seating options for my students and the sensory tools I can offer different ways for my students to be comfortable and focus on their learning.
