I am very passionate about teaching the whole child and this project allows my students to not only engage in the science and mathematics of STEM but also socialization and collaboration skills through play! In my classroom I want to start the day off by having play based learning STEM exploration Tubs, where the students can work together to create, problem solve, collaborate with peers, and think outside the box. This materials will help me create different tubs that will engage the students and give them the opportunity to be innovators. Starting our day with our STEM tubs instead of worksheets not only is shown to increase attendance, but builds classroom community, develops problem solving, communication, and perseverance!
