A few weeks into the school year, I'm able to see how impacted the students' education is by the lack of basic classroom materials we have. Students aren't able to listen to instructional videos due to lacking a speaker, have lesser engagement due to lack of personal learning materials, and have no space in the classroom for guided small groups. These resources will help the classroom become a space where my 8th graders can grow. With these, they will be set up for success, graduating from​ middle school, high school, and beyond. These early teen years are some of the most formative in students' lives, and I want them to know that they have support to be who they'd like to be.

About my class
