These sensory tools will be available for my students to use independently so they can learn how to self regulate their own emotions. As some of my students face daily challenges at home, it is important to teach to the whole child and include social emotional learning in our classroom as a key component to their success. This project will help fund our calming corner where students can use these tools to take a break and refocus to better absorb the learning. It is important that students have the tools available so they are able to check in with themselves and their emotions throughout the day to ensure they are in the best learning environment possible for themselves, and their classmates.
