This items will allow me to kickstart a great year for my students who often come to school without school supplies due to financial circumstances that do not give them leniency to purchase them. These are basic supplies that I plan on using to support a learning environment where students are collaborating, participating in self-directed learning, and engaging with content in a more hands-on and interactive way. I plan on utilizing the easel pads, markers, and white boards so that students can engage with content in a way other than just pencil and paper. I often ask students to create posters or create game activities for them to keep them excited to learn the new material. It also provides the opportunity for students to observe other student work and learn from them. My classroom currently does not possess the basic needs that a classroom should have such as a pencil sharpener, white board marker, stapler, etc. These supplies will allow me to start to create a classroom that has such supplies that are necessary for my students' learning.
