Lets talk about books...… Students in my language arts class are beginning book club talks as the new school year begins. They are so excited to read and discuss their book with one another each week! Imagine this, my students are begging to have time to read and collaborate! Using Flipgrid, my students will be able to communicate with another class that is reading and reacting to the same book without actual being in the same class at the same time. There are ten different books being read and discussed at the same time, and this use of technology gives the teacher the ability to check students work on the spot! The iPads will help students promote public speaking, working together, and enhance reading and writing, all at the same time. As the teacher, I will be able to evaluate student work quickly by the click of a button each book club session. The excitement in our room is intense right now, and I want to keep the momentum going by using the iPads to record and share work to all students.
