My students are hard working, they come to my room to focus and work on skills that are challenge them. It is especially hard to ask them to focus when they are hungry. Unfortunately a lot of our students don’t get the appropriate amount of food they need to function throughout a school day. Without the right amount of food students get distracted, unmotivated and grumpy. My hope is to give students a small snack whenever they visit my classroom. This not only helps make up for the lack of food they are dealing with but is also motivating and makes being in my room more fun!
