Flexible seating carries an array of benefits to help scholars work productively. It makes learning fun, and increases a positive mindset. I am looking provide a more active, engaged, enthusiastic, and relaxed room for my scholars. My scholars will also feel a sense of ownership by making the room "ours", rather than "my room", which will encourage my scholars to invest more time into their education. Flexible seating can also increase stimulation and help scholars focus and process information. The yoga balls will be specifically used for scholars with ADD and ADHD, in order to give them the opportunity to keep both sides of their brains engaged while working. I hope that my project will allow my classroom to be conducive to open collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking. This simply cannot be done when kids are sitting in rows of desks all day.
