At our school we believe strongly in being trauma informed. We serve disengaged and disconnecting youth and help them to realize and achieve their true worth. Social and emotional learning is a major goal for our young people which mindful meditation can help them to achieve and eventually master. Mindfulness helps students manage their stress more effectively and work through it more quickly. The demands of high school are intense and mindful meditation will be another support to help my students to thrive. These materials and cushions would help me to remove a layer of stress from my students lives by giving my students the chance to have a comfortable and cozy place to meditate and be mindful.
