All of the materials and supplies that I am requesting for my math students are essential for my students to make meaningful math moments. We just need your help in order to have all the supplies needed so we can do many hands-on activities and investigative mathematics. The composition books will be used as interactive notebooks where my students are given scaffold notes (great for English language learners and special education students). I will use all the paper for those notes and other handouts to put in their interactive notebooks, along with the glue sticks, scissors and the rest. The baskets and folders will help keep the supplies organized. The timer will be used so that my students know how much work time they have left, as it is not good practice to cut off students without warning. The chart paper will be used to create anchor charts along with allowing a student to stand and do math problems (known to help students from giving up) and then doing gallery walks that reflect the discussions we have during our mini-lessons. The clipboards and white boards will be offered to students, so they may work where they are comfortable.
