My goal is to allow students to have a space to receive small group instruction when needed and to have a comfortable space to come together to work on projects or activities. With only desks in my classroom, it is difficult to pull a few students to administer guided reading or extra math help. Having an additional table would make it possible to teach those students in a small group setting. Students need a space to work together to think critically, share ideas, receive help and collaborate. Since I am brand new to this school, I wasn't given any furniture other than desks and a rug.
