Finally, after two years of traveling, the program finally found a home when we received our own room! Now all students in the school can come to the music room to sing, dance, and enhance their learning. We have a problem with our program that's keeping our students from experiencing music like they should... we don't have enough instruments for them. The instruments we have aren't enough to go around so that every child can use an instrument during class. If we had some more percussion instruments, such as djembes, our students would be able to play the music we learn about in class. With these two instruments the students can work together to play the drums learning not only the drumming skills, but also how to be an ensemble and the importance of sharing as well!
