Being a writing teacher I want my students to use their imaginations to create different worlds when they write. Before students can produce quality writing they have to consume quality writing. Fifth graders are expected to write across all genres, and in order to successfully enage in this they MUST be exposed to enaging mentor texts from all genres that they can model their own writing after. The best way to become a stronger writer is to be exposed to interesting and engaging books that students can't put down. If you donate you will be helping the next generation of writers and readers flourish!
