My goal for this project is to create a sensory room for special education students, as well as the general education students that allows them to balance their emotional health with their physical and educational needs to help them be successful in the classroom. I believe any resources we can give to help students with special needs will make them look at school in a more positive way and allow them to be successful! For the special education students that are in the general education setting, it can sometimes get overwhelming for them. With a sensory room, it allows them a space to balance their emotional well being in sometimes very over-stimulating situations. A trampoline would benefit the students that have a hard time sitting still to get out some of the energy. The light curtains will offer a calming space for students that get overstimulated. As well as many sensory toys to accommodate many different needs.
