Play is how children explore and learn about the world around them and how they acquire the skills to live in the world. The most beneficial play is initiated by the child. During free play is when most learning takes place. These resources will be very beneficial in allowing students to develop social skills, increase physical activity, and practice conflict resolution. Due to the fact that my school is in a low socioeconomic area, most students do not come with the skills to be able to solve problems, self regulate, or positively play with one another. I believe these resources will help students learn how to co exist and collaborate during free play.
