The composition notebooks are being used on a daily basis for an interactive notebook, which allows students to practice their new gained skills. The notebooks also allows students to use the notebook as a reference guide when ever they come across a problem they are unsure of. The notebooks may be used to help jog their memory. The loose leaf paper is used daily, with students practicing math, as well as using paper to work out their word problems. The pens, pencils, and highlighters will help students jot down notes and write down any questions they might have as well as allowing them to complete independent work and explore other areas of math. The dry erase markers will allow more than one students to go to the whiteboard and either enter in a race or show the class their thought process and how they came about answering questions. It also allows students to go into further detail, when they create their own questions for the class to answer. The sticky notes allow students to jot down important facts they've learned, as well as use as a bookmark in their interactive notebooks. The Kleenex and hand sanitizer will allow the students to remain at school, so they can continue being independent learners. The glue sticks and scissors will allow students to glue and cut items to paste onto their interactive notebooks as well as use when we create classroom posters discussing topics we are learning. The markers and colored pencils will also contribute to students retelling of various math concepts learned. They will also allow students to be creative when discussing math, and demonstrating to the class with their group projects.
