Getting these materials will help my students be able to build their aquaponics lab with materials that would withstand the course of their lesson. We need these new materials in order to build a strong tank with pipes and filters that can transfer the water from the tomato plants to the fish, and vise versa. The overhead lights help the tomato plants grow properly due to the fact that they aquaponics lab will be inside, having no exposure to natural sunlight. This lesson plan will teach my students the relationship between the plants and the fish. The tomato plants give off nitrogen in the water that the fish need to grow, and the fish releases natural fertilizers to feed the plants.
