My students need targets and arrow curtains. The National Archery in the Schools Program is an in-school program aimed at improving educational performance among students in grades 4th – 12th. And through it, students are learning focus, self-control, discipline, patience, and the life lessons required to be successful in the classroom and in life. By bringing this program to SMS we can offer students who aren't interested, or comfortable, in participating in traditional school sports an opportunity to be part of a team. We can also offer Physical Education students an exciting and unique new element to their PE classes. Archery is an incredibly inclusive activity with deep societal and historical roots across many cultures.
