The Chromebooks would be an asset to our classroom because they would allow my students to use technology to enhance their learning. In addition to learning from their teachers and each other, they’d also be able to learn through children’s educational websites focused on the standards they must meet in kindergarten by being able to work independently on each Chromebook. This will allow my students to improve their English through reading, writing, listening and speaking. It will also reinforce the alphabet each time they have to type, teach them new vocabulary words, reinforce sight words and be able to navigate on their own thereby also encouraging autonomy. They can listen to stories online and discuss them with their teacher and classmates, write and share responses, learn vocabulary and repeat what they hear. They can learn through visual and auditory means.
