I want to be able to offer to my students flexibility in seating choices to be able to do their best. I want my class to be a place where students feel safe to make choices, including how or where they choose to sit. Many students have issues that make it hard for them to stay on task without distracting others around them or the whole class. Given different seating options is one way we can address these issues. I have found that after sitting all day in a classroom, given the opportunity to have flexible seating students are able to have better focus and more energy.
