We want to encourage creativity while teaching and learning skills students will use in their lives to create gifts, mend and hem clothing, and recycle old items into new ones! With these necessary materials, students will be able to practice and create in a low-pressure, yet academic, setting. With these materials, students will learn to make hand-sewn patches, stuffed animals, pillows, and more! We will also be creating a school spirit flag that will proudly fly outside of our middle school classrooms. Not only will kids be learning sewing and fine motor skills, they will use their creativity and collaborative skills to build confidence and augment school spirit.

About my class
