Each moment a student spends reading, their vocabulary is increasing and their knowledge is growing. The materials requested in my project are going to help create a space in our classroom for students to use as they are reading throughout the school year. The carpet will help define the area, and the chairs will give the students a more comfortable place to sit while engaged in reading. I am hoping to make a difference in my student's learning by creating this reading space in our room that will inspire them to choose to read and engage them in new, current texts. The more they choose to read, the more my students will grow as individuals and become confident literature learners.
