My classroom is in desperate need of a new rug for students to learn and build relationships on. Without this carpet we do not have a community space for the kids to sit on their spots and learn. This is a vital part of a successful, healthy first grade classroom. This rug withe enough spaces for all of my students, will give students a space to learn, process, and reflect on their learning within the classroom. Morning meetings, small group, whole group, recess, presentations, read alouds, etc. All of these things need a place in our classroom to be held and without a rug, the community bond is absent.
