The purpose of having flexible seating is to empower students with the choices that they are given. In a classroom environment, they should be comfortable and motivated to learn. I want to teach my students that learning isn't something that is only done at the desk, but rather it can happen in a wobble cushion or a balance ball. Having these flexible seating options would help students to be more comfortable, and it would allow them to move easily around the classroom to find a spot where they can do their best work. With that said, it can also reduce disruptive behavior from students who have difficulty focusing!
