Giving students' the ability to choose where they want to sit on a daily basis is fundamental to our learning environment. When students' have choice, they have a voice! Let's face it, as adults we struggle to sit still for long periods of time. Children do too! Giving them the choice to pick a chair, a bouncy ball, or stool can make a big difference in the way they learn and behave. By helping to purchase the bouncy ball, you will allow a child to freely choose flexible seating and change their learning environment in a positive way! They will focus more on their work, they will be active participants in the classroom, and enjoy the freedom to choose! I am also asking for help in purchasing a document camera, to project student work onto our class ENO board. Having a document camera will allow students to share their work with others on the big screen. It will also allow me to project teacher samples and guide students on how to complete work.
