In this first quarter of 2020---the year of the Covid pandemic---both sets of kids I teach have had to meet virtually because of a rise in the number of Covid cases in my county. Next quarter will be a different story. Some of us will meet in person while others will continue to learn from home. We will have to follow a hybrid model of learning in my classroom meaning I will have to accommodate both the face-to-face learners and the virtual learners. I will have to return the computer I am currently using to the technology lab where it belongs soon; I will, therefore, be without a computer and unable to accommodate the virtual learners. I will need a desktop computer to help me continue to meet with the remote students through Zoom, and I will need it to help me continue to provide meaningful and engaging lessons and assignments for all my students! The monitor of the computer is big enough for me and my on-site students to see the beautiful faces of the children at home. It is important that the online kids feel like they are a part of the class, and this particular computer has the features I will need to make that happen. Please help me meet the learning needs of these deserving children. Learning still needs to happen even if it has to happen far away. My brilliant students would be most grateful for any help you can give.
