My students come to school energetic and ready to learn every day. We engage in a lot of hands-on and collaborative activities in which I challenge the students to open their minds, be creative and think outside of the box. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. Our school uses the "Gradual Release of Responsibility(GRR)" framework. In this framework, students engage in collaborative learning where they are allowed to choose where they work. Another component of GRR is independent work, another time was students are given a choice of where to work. My goal with this project is to give my students more options on where they can work in order to increase engagement and creativity!
