Reading is a daily part of kindergarten. In our classroom, we encourage students to choose their own places to read. Ownership of this choice helps to foster a love for reading and learning! Our classroom is a new kindergarten classroom, so unfortunately we are short on comfortable places to read. I would love to have a sofa set to give more students a place to relax and curl up with a good book. Doesn't everyone deserve that? While they are reading on the new sofa or pillows, they can share their newfound love for reading with our stuffed animal reading buddies. This project will be a great jump start to an inviting classroom reading center and a great kindergarten year.
