Students often ask me for reading material when they finish an assessment early, or when they are in my advisory prep class after finishing their homework. Having a good classroom library with a variety of books, will help students build their reading comprehension as well as their empathy for others. I would love to have a small class library available for my students, and building reading comprehension can help with math problem-solving, too! The math books for Grade 6 will be great for students who want to take more ownership for their learning and read about topics in the math class instead of rereading the textbook. It will be great to have a variety of material for students to choose from.
