This being my first year teaching, I have been handed down many old books from other teachers, which I very much appreciate. However, if my students are given fresh new titles, it will only increase their interest in reading! My goal is for students to be motivated to read as many books as possible, and adding these books will be a great addition to my library. Creating independence and motivation to read is one of my main goals for my students this school year, and these new storage bins will do just that. Having new storage bins to organize these new books in will be so wonderful for my students because they can self-select books that are appropriate for their levels without being overwhelmed by a messy classroom library.
