The best way for students to learn Spanish is through language immersion and culture. The first step to immersing students into Spanish and Latin American culture is by transforming our classroom environment. Help me set the stage to engage by creating an inviting classroom space that transports students to Spanish-speaking countries. These materials will help me create a classroom students are eager to walk into. They will be more engaged in the content and more excited to learn the language if they can see the rich culture and traditions associated with Spanish-speaking countries. Many of my students have never traveled outside of Maryland, but maybe after learning Spanish, they will feel more motivated and better equipped to travel to a Spanish-speaking country. My goal is to spark their curiosity and create the most authentic environment possible for language learning. In addition, I want to start building a diverse, bilingual library to share authentic texts with my students. Our classroom posters will help provide a visual aid to all students. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you‌ ‌will also ultimately help to increase academic achievement. ¡Gracias!
