Being a travelling teacher, I teach in many different spaces, including old offices and even hallways. This makes displaying visual content and providing teacher led instruction very difficult without any type of board to display learning material. I have found myself writing on brick, posting visuals on cabinets in empty offices or avoiding this kind of instruction all together. But, my students need MUCH more. My kiddos are behind grade level and need every ounce of support they can get in order to thrive in their General Education classroom. In order to provide the best instruction possible, I need to be able to display visual components to support my lessons. Numerous reputable studies indicate the importance of visual aides, especially when working with students with special needs. This easel will allow me to implement the most effective and engaging lesson possible. My kids are hopeful learners who need everything we can give them. This project will enhance their learning and make their school experience more enjoyable.
