Flexible seating is a growing practice in schools across the world. Sitting in school all day is tough for our kids, especially when it's in a hard, plastic chair; that is why more and more teachers are giving students options when it comes to seating. Many of the kids in my classroom have difficulties maintaining attention and sitting still, by incorporating flexible seating, with chairs that move and interact with their bodies, my students may have a better chance at learning. Learning is difficult, and I want to give my students the extra boost they need to reach their full potential. By having these extra seating options in my classroom my students will be more comfortable in the learning environment, something that many of them are lacking. The two wobble stools I have picked out will allow for my more 'bouncy' students to be able to move while they work, and the balance ball chair will allow the same thing for my older students. I have seen the benefits of flexible seating in a classroom, and I am excited for the opportunity to expand this into my room!
