My students deserve a classroom library in which they can easily and quickly find the books they love to read. By providing access to a rich classroom library, I can promote greater amounts of reading, increased reading frequency, and more diverse reading experiences among my students, thus helping them to attain greater levels of reading achievement. The public school classroom I moved into had virturally nothing as far as book organization. There was one bookshelf. I have been able to piece together a few rickety resale shop shelves and utilize some baskets left in the classroom. However, I fear that in this setting, students won't be able to efficiently locate the books they are interested in and will be hesitant to try new series or genres. The products I am wishing for would help my students utilize my classroom library more independently and in a much more meaningful way. They would also help me as their teacher to quickly find books for them as their interests change. Thank you for your consideration!
