My students will be computer tested often for progress monitoring. Those that need intervention will use computers for individualized lessons. It is imperative that they develop computer literacy skills. Mouse control is a foundation of those skills. Please allow me to give my students their own mice to use on their 1:1 chrome books so that they can practice mouse control prior to testing. This will also alleviate or limit use of the trackpad and limit clicking errors. Many of my students have zero experience with a computer that is not touch screen. Having mice in the classroom, not only in the computer lab, will help students be successful earlier and give more accurate results.
