My administration, students and I are truly excited to have a class called Competitive Science. For the first time, our students will be given the opportunity to compete in the Kansas State Science Fair. The materials I am requesting for this class and these students will help us create truly exceptional and eye-catching displays to wow the judges. Photos will bring our experiments to life. A catchy title cut by the Cricut will make the display nice and tidy. A classroom printer will assist us in utilizing our time more effectively. In the process of completing their experiments and creating their displays, students will learn so much more beyond science. Time management, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines are just a few of the soft skills students will practice. Learning to speak confidently, making eye contact and answering questions precisely for the science fair judges will be an experience that cannot be created in the classroom.
