My students all require special education services and have various disabilities. Each student is very unique and different from one another. Since we are grades 3-5 school, our library does not have many books that relate to my students reading and developmental levels other than picture books. My students are beginning readers and need books at their reading levels to encourage them to be independent readers. Students will want to read more when they have a classroom library filled with books at their reading level. I have read research studies on how students want to read more if they have access to a library full of books at their reading level. By giving multiple books in my classroom library will help to inspire my students to read independently. Please help my wonderful students catch the reading bug! They want to learn and continue to read and need the resources to start their journey. Please donate to help have a leveled library for my students to continue reading beyond the beginning reader books. They especially love stories that share the same characters!
