Students learn languages best when they have a variety of materials that provide comprehensible input- videos, books, images, and more. Our classroom is missing books! With these Spanish readers, I will be able to teach novel-based units that can help my students realize that they can in fact read in Spanish and that they can even read full stories on their own. This will help build their confidence in language learning and provide materials that challenge and stimulate both their language acquisition and cultural knowledge. These books will not only teach my students Spanish, but they will also show them that the Spanish-speaking world is rich, complex, passionate, and accessible to them.
