Learning centers are a great way for students to work independently and gain further understanding of the taught skills. Our lessons focus on building reading and math skills. Daily practice helps our students become more confident in these skills, therefore more successful in their academics. I would like to set up a "Technology Center" using Chromebooks in our classroom, so that our students can practice the skills they are learning. There are many computer programs that offer our students this opportunity. One particular program that our school uses is Reflex Math. In Reflex Math, the students are challenged to learn as many math facts as possible in a certain amount of time. They are so proud of the many math facts they master as they work, and they earn coins to use in the store for purchases. They often tell me that they like learning with their brain and not pencil and paper!! Please help our students continue to learn through various programs on the Chromebooks. It is an excellent way to further their learning capabilities!
