As Kindergartners, my students are learning how to communicate with friends, as well as learning the parts of stories and how to communicate what happened in the story. My students are very hands-on and learn best by being engage with their learning. By providing these story telling tools to my students, we are filling their tool box with tools to help them strengthen their oral language and retelling skills. My students will be able to use these tools in their literacy center to tell familiar stories with their friends and kinesthetically create the story on the board to show the scene. My students would greatly benefit from these tools, and be able to grow their language skills in a fun and hands-on way!
