My students begin their education in a hands-on, play-based preschool program. Although our classroom has many toys and manipulatives, we are lacking in the area of technology. By having tablets my students will get to experience many educational apps which will prepare them for when they move into kindergarten and are required to use similar programs. The tablets will be placed in an interest area daily, giving all the students the opportunity to use them. The apps will contain counting, alphabet, shapes, letter sounds, sorting, matching, rhyming, and more skills that are taught in our program. The tablets will also be used for early finishers as a way for them to continue learning while waiting for others to complete assignments.
