Hello! The majority of items on my list are for something I have titled the "chill out corner" in my classroom. The purpose of these items is that I recognize that every kid isn't going to have a "great" day every day. Because of this, I have dedicated a corner of my classroom as an area where kids can choose to sit if they feel they need sort of a mental health break or frustration break from learning. This is important to me because I believe that mental health and taking care of yourself is just as important as the learning that takes place in my classroom. I want my students to feel welcome to have "bad" days or moments, and in order to do so, I need the correct supplies/items to foster this type of environment.
